Creating In-text Citations and Bibliographies are easy using Microsoft WORD 2007 or 2010:
EXAMPLES HERE
1) Open WORD and click on the "Reference" Tab
2) In the "Citations & Bibliography" group, chose the "Style" you want, then click on "Manage Sources"
Click on the "New" button"Choose the "Type of Source"
Fill in the information required
Use the "Edit" button to add the author(s)
Fill in all the information you can find
3) Remember the following when looking for information used in citing:
Bibliographic information for books is found on the copyright page (on the back of the book's title page)
List more than one author in the order they appear on the title page or copyright page
Use the latest date if more than one date appears
Use the first U.S. city, if more than one city is listed
The webpage is the page where you find your information
The Homepage is the main (cover) page of the website
Dates and authors of webpages are frequently found on the website's HOME page. Go to the homepage by:
Clicking on the "Home" button
Clicking on the header of the webpage
Backtracking on the web address (URL) to the domain name (.edu, .gov, .com, etc.
4) To add an in-text citation, place your cursor after the information used and click on "Insert Citation" button.
5) To add a bibliography, place your cursor at the end of your paper and click on "Bibliography," then click on "Bibliography."
6) If you need additional information, use the "Help" button in Word. Type the following in the search window:
Insert citation
Edit citation
Delete citation
Insert bibliography
